20th Birthday

London Fashion Weekend

London Fashion Weekend was such a success. With my course, we got the chance to travel to London for the fashion weekend, and lucky me it was my birthday when we were down there. I wasn't sure what to expect because I've never been to anything like this before. My expectation were beyond met, it was such a fabulous event! There were hundreds of designer clothes more than half price including, Twenty8Twelve and Winter Kate by Nicole Richie. The fashion show was very impressive with some beautiful clothes. Overall, I had an awesome few days.

London Tomorrow

I am heading down to London tomorrow bright and early (5am) to catch London Fashion Weekend. I am so excited! But I found out today that my boyfriend took my camera charger 'by accident.'So frustrating!! I really don't know what I am going to do ):

So what are the chances I meet Daniel Radcliffe in London?? What a great birthday present that would be :p

Another Portman Film

As you all know, I am a huge Natalie Portman fan and this year she has decided to bring out a ray of movies. Including Black Swan, Your Highness and the Other Woman.

On Valentines Day I treated my boyfriend to go and see No Strings Attached, starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. I wasn't sure what to expect because I have never really seen Portman in a comedy before, but I have to say, she was amazing. This movie was clever, funny and romantic. She played her character so well! I loved it (:

Highly recommend this movie!

This is Stella

As New York fashion week progresses, I have fallen in love with Stella McCartney's pre fall ready to wear collection. Here are a few of my favourites:

Compliments From A Stranger

 Shorts: Urban Outfitters
Top: Topshop
Ring: Primark
So today I was just walking down the street, minding my own business when this guys stopped me to say how much he liked my ring. At first, I thought he was going to ask me for money, but then he asked me where I got my ring. It was weird, but kinda flattering.

Sorry for the rubbish quality of my photo's, I still don't have my camera charger back yet. I realised that I could use my photo booth to take pictures, so more will come!

Une Cares

The other day when I was out shopping, I realised I needed some new foundation. The stuff I currently had wasn't cruelty free and I thought it was about time I was on board with the 'good' foundation. I wasn't sure what to go for, then I came across Une. It's all for the environment with recycled packaging and organic ingredients. I was impressed and it only cost me £12.99. I was sold when I discovered it wasn't tested on animals. It blends in perfectly and doesn't clog up my pores. I would highly recommend this! Feel free to check out their website for more products: www.unebeauty.com

"With regards to the formulas, UNE clearly prioritises ingredients from natural or organic origin to guarantee that products are not only effective, but also good for the skin and more environmentally friendly."- Unebeauty.com

Ethics

Firstly I have to apologize for the lack of my own photo's. I stupidly left my camera charger at my boyfriends flat and won't get it back for a couple of weeks, so I'm just using shots from the web.
This week at uni we got a talk on Ethical Fashion and it really interested me. I was so impressed by it, and as we all know I'm a lover of animal rights and the environment, so this was right up my street. The guest speaker was from a company called Fashioning an Ethical Industry who believe in teaching fashion students about the positive and negative effects that the industry can have on working environments. They want to raise the standards set in working conditions and they believe that by teaching future industry players about this they can create awareness and hopefully make some changes.
I've added some images which represent, in my opinion, ethical fashion and cooperate with the animal rights movement.
