One Day

Recently I have been researching Sex and The City fashion, styles and identity. For this I have been re-watching the series to get a real look into the way each character portrays themselves through their clothes. New York plays a huge part in the series and I fell in love with the city all over again. I love New York's street style and find it so inspirational. New York is the only place I want to live and got me thinking about it's winter fashion, so I decided to see what was going about right now to inspire my winter looks.
I found a few I really loved:

I Love Hareem

This week I decided to do my styling on Hareem pants. I love them so much that I would wear them everyday if I could, but I noticed that there are only a certain about of clothes in my wardrobe that look good with them. I am a big fan of having a baggy piece of clothing on the bottom or the top of my body and a tight piece of clothing vise versa, so having baggy Hareem pants I thought that it would only look good having a tight upper half. I mixed up some t-shirts that were loose fitting and created a totally different look for myself.
Here is what I came up with:
I love these trousers and I just bought them recently. They are a brown checkered colour and I think they really go with light creamy colours.
(Trousers, Topshop. Leotard, Topshop.)
I teamed the trousers with a cream jumper and blazer for a snug winter look:
(Blazer, Zara. Jumper, New Look.)
This is jumper with the trousers alone. You can really see the shape of the trousers in this picture:
I added a denim jacket which I wasn't too sure about, but I think it brightens up the outfit well:
(Denim jacket, Urban Outfitters.)
I love these trousers because the pattern is so out there. There isn't that many clothes that go with these though, but I love the denim jacket with them:
(Trousers, Topshop.)
I added a baggy t-shirt with these trousers just to see if they would work. I love this shirt and I think it goes well for a slightly tomboyish look:
(T-shirt, Urban Outfitters.)
I also teamed them up with a waterfall jacket I had from summer. I wrapped it around me because it didn't look right falling over the trousers, but I think with a cute broach this would work well:
(Jacket, Topshop.)
These trousers are more like military trousers, but I think go with more clothes than the others:
(Trousers, Topshop.)
I put these with a baggy t-shirt too and I have to admit, I am loving this look:
(T-shirt, Topshop.)
This look is defiantly a winter look. This jacket is perfect for facing the cold, although I think the colour fades out the colour of the trousers:
(Jacket, Republic.)
(Earings, Topshop.)
Apologies for the state of my shoes, they have been worn religiously:
(Ballet pumps, Topshop. Brogues, River Island.)

5 Looks 1 Week

This week I decided to start something new, which involves me taking a picture of myself 5 days of the week just to see what I've been wearing. This will give me a chance to see what works and if anything can be improved.

Soundtrack to My Week

I have fallen in love with The Runaways again, and this song has been on repeat all week.

Home Sweet Home

Having a week off uni meant that I could go home and work for a change. I am always limited when I go home to what I can wear and do because I can't pack enough things into my suitcase. Because the weather is getting colder, and I have no clothes, I had to borrow some of my mums stuff. It was difficult to find some things that look okay and that would keep me warm. I found a cardigan which I loved the feel off, although the colour isn't really my taste, but I actually fell in love with it. This little find got me thinking of other things lying around my house so I looked around and this is what I found:
(Cardigan, Mums. T-shirt, Urban Outfitters. Headband, Dorothy Perkins.)
(Bag, Mums. I love this bag, it just reminds me of my school days. Also, can I call my mums stuff vintage?)
(Minnie Mouse, Christmas present. I miss this bear when I'm at Uni!)
(Found my dads awesome camera for the pics this week. Just wish I could always use it.)

Just Can't Get Enough

I have fallen in love with Harem trousers and have just ordered myself a new pair from Topshop. After purchasing the trousers, I decided to have a look around for different looks and found some I really like:

Wish My Hair Was as Long as My Maxi

I am a sucker for a beautiful maxi dress. I dug out the ones I own, from my summer wardrobe, for this weeks styling, just to see what works. I wanted to see if I could make these last during summer too, and if they would keep me warm.
My first dress is my favourite one which I don't think really works for a winter wardrobe because the material is thin and sheer:
(Dress, Banana Republic)
(I love the detailing in the dress, It really sets it off)
(Shoes, Dorothy Perkins. I always wear these shoes with this dress because they give me the lift I need and they are fabulous)
(Denim Jacket, Urban Outfitters)
This look is defiantly for summer, just I love these shoes with the dress.
(Shoes, H&M)
These next couple of looks are more for comfort days, and days when you just want to be lazy:
(Hoodie, Topshop. Dress, Topshop. Necklace, H&M)
I love this look because it's simple and comfortable. The pearl necklace adds come class to the outfit:
(Cropped T-Shirt, New Look)
I love adding cropped tops to maxi dresses because it lengthens the waist and legs:
(Cropped Jumper, Topshop. Ring, Topshop)
My last dress is a cosy stripy one. Just add a hoodie and a pair of boots and you're ready to face the cold:
(Dress, Warehouse. Hoodie, Topshop. Jacket, Urban Outfitters. Boots, River Island)
(Bracelets, H&M. Ring, Topshop)
I have fallen in love with my new Aviator jacket, so I hoped it would go with one of my maxi's and I think this works for a snug winter look:
(Jacket, Republic)
Comfy shoes are a must for me, although I'm not sure these ballet shoes will be that warm:
(Ballet shoes, Topshop)
(Scarf, Alexander McQueen)
Lastly, a cheeky picture with my parka:
