(Birthday Cake from Work)
(Lyle and Scott Newsletter)
(Present from work - they are too good to me!)
(Hannah and I at the Ice Bar)
(Rings - Topshop)
(Blouse - Topshop)

Hey guys!

I don't know if many of you knew that it was my 21st birthday on friday. I had the best day. Work surprised me with a cake and presents - not to mention they put an announcement in the newsletter! I was so thankful for everything, it was great.

Because I am in London, I wanted to do something that was unique, so one of my friends suggested we go to the Ice Bar. It was so much fun, I highly recommend it. It did get pretty old after a while, my hands were cold even through the giant gloves! But we had an awesome time anyways.

I was completely struggling on what to wear, but I went for this simple, but pretty blouse. I wore it was a dress, although I'm not too sure I got away with it! I loved the back, and it felt super summery. Colour is definitely creeping into my wardrobe.

I have had a great birthday weekend. Today I stayed in all day and finally completed reading the Twilight Saga. And now, I actually feel sad that it's over for me! Apart from the next movie coming out, but their love affair has been complete. It was a great saga and I miss it already I might have to start reading Twilight again.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Happy Sunday!

Bathroom Fun

(Outside V&A)
(Outside Burberry)

Hey y'all.

Sorry I haven't been blogging this week, it's been pretty tiring! I went to the V&A Museum with my friend at the weekend and it was pretty fun. Although they didn't have the fashion exhibition open..darn!

The second picture was taken outside the Mulberry store, I loved their display! I'm wearing my cardigan that my mum made me, a scarf from a vintage shop, jeans from Miss Selfridge and converse from a zillion years ago. My bag is also the bag my dad bought me from Accessorize. I might look kinda tired, it's cause I was ever so slightly hungover! Anyways, the V&A is always a must if you're ever in London (:

The last two pictures were taken today inside Lyle & Scott's bathroom (shh!) Yeah, pretty rank place to take a picture, I know. But I wanted to show you guys how else you can wear bright patterned tops and there would be no daylight by the time I got back to the house! I have been living in this t-shirt, and usually I would just wear it over leggings, but today I wore it over a black bodycon dress. I felt pretty professional in it and on trend. Perfect for the office!

Anyways, I have been searching for my 21st dress today and I was hoping to have one by now, seeing as it is my 21st tomorrow...But hey, There is always lunch time, and after work to search. Fingers crossed!

Happy Thursday!

JW Anderson

(T-Shirt - JW Anderson for Topshop)

So it was the beginning of London Fashion Week yesterday and everyone went manic in Topshop to grab Mary Katrantzou's collection for the store. I, on the other hand, was more interested in the teeny collaborations designers were doing for Topshop supporting 10 years of British fashion. On my way to work I spotted this beauty in the window. I needed it in my life.

The fabric is amazing, so soft and silky. The detail is amazing, everything about it I love. There were loads of them, not just by JW Anderson, but by loads of different designers. You can check them out at topshop.com. I loved the little postcard you got with the shirt too, just giving more insight to the designer you had chosen.

I'm wearing this tonight as I am going out with my coursemates. Excited! I am also on the last book of the Twilight Saga; Breaking Dawn and I can't put it down. I think I may cry when it's over, is that sad?

Anyways, here is a band I am falling in love with. They are called First Aid Kit and are exactly the kind of music I am into. I hope you will agree that they are something else.

Happy Weekend Guys!

NY Fashion Week Favourite

(Marchesa AW12-13)
Hey guys!

I don't know if you have been keeping tabs on New York Fashion Week, but some of the shows have been amazing! I've been sneaking some glimpses during my lunch breaks at work. I'm doing a fashion placement, I figured I need to keep up to date right?

If I'm honest, I have never really kept up with the Fashion Weeks in the past, and it has been my resolution to be more in tune with them, so I'm kinda new to this. So when I logged on to Vogue.com and say these, I was amazed! My Vogue magazine's get delivered to Aberdeen, so I've been deprived at had to use the web instead! There was so much coverage and so many shows that I didn't know what to pick out to put on here, but Marchesa did it for me. Beautiful and amazing. I could totally see myself wearing one of these (given I was getting married or was attending the Oscars).

It's Friday tomorrow, which means the start of London Fashion Week! As I am in London at the moment, I will do my best to keep you up to date.

Have a good one.

Snow Patrol and Everything Nice

(Harry Potter at Kings Cross)
(Bag - Accessorize)

Hey guys! Hope you've all had a good weekend?

My weekend was amazing. My dad came down to London to visit me and we went to see Snow Patrol together at the O2. My dad absolutely loves the band and we first went to see them in Glasgow a few years back. I wasn't a huge fan, but they really are something else live, I just grew to love them. Naturally. The lead singer sounds EXACTLY like he does on the record, and that is very rare. I've attached a video at the bottom, not from the concert I was at, but they did play this and it's one of my SP favourites. Anyways, we had a blast and I really missed my dad, was good to see him!

Because it's my birthday in a few weeks, and he couldn't make it down that weekend, he decided to treat me (as if I hadn't been given enough from him already!) He bought me this gorgeous back from Accessorize. I'm not usually into colour, in fact most of my wardrobe is made up of black/grey clothes, and that's including hand bags! But for some reason, my taste is changing, towards colour that is and this bag really stood out for me. Love it.

It was a short time I'd spent with my dad unfortunately, but it just makes me look forward to going home. As I was taking my dad to the station, I just happened to notice a sign for Platform 9 and 3/4...I had to go and investigate, but as you can see by the picture, it's not that great. I was disappointed Kings Cross!

Happy Monday!

Bumble and Bumble

(City Lights)
(Before Brilliantime)
(Two pics after Brilliantime)

Heylo, yesterday I was sent home early due to the staff at L&S being too busy. This left me with no other choice, other than to go shopping. How could I resist when Selfridges was just around the corner?

I had been thinking about buying some Bumble and Bumble products for a while, and really set out to buy their sea salt spray. M hair had been looking pretty dull lately and I needed something to jazz it up. Then I found this little number. It's called Brilliantime and is £17. I know what you're thinking, a lot to pay for teeny bottle. BUT it works.

Now I'm usually the kind of girl who goes out and splurges on expensive beauty products and they end up not working for me. I was hesitant with this, but I knew that B&B were a trusted brand. I read the bottle carefully, trying to establish what to expect, it sounded great; mirror shine, separation, sexy, just out of bed look. Perfect. I tried it this morning and was really impressed. I used it after I had blow dried my hair and styled it slightly. I then scrunched up my hair, gave it a shake, and voila: sexy hair! Haha okay, maybe not, but it gave my hair a rugged and sort of 'I never did my hair this morning' feel.

Anyways, I love it, it's perfect for someone who doesn't quite know what to do with their hair (like me) and a little goes a long way!

Hope everyone's had a great day!

Manly Man Shirt

(Snow outside my place)
(Faux leather trousers RIPPED - H&M)
(Shirt - People Tree)
(Belt - Miss Selfridge)

Hey guys (: Hope you've all had a good day? My day has been so amazing, finally feeling useful with my placement!

Anyways, these pics were taking yesterday. How gutting about my trousers?! I don't even know how it happened, I just looked down and there it was, smiling at me. I was not please! They are only about 8 months old.

I did go around some vintage shops on Saturday, and there were some amazing things, but I didn't have the money at the time to purchase much. I somehow managed to stumble across a People Tree sample sale. Now I have never been to such a thing, living in a small town, but it was actually pretty cool. For those of you who know People Tree, they are pretty expensive brand, so at the sample sale, everything was dead cheap. I had been looking for a baggy white shirt for a while and this was only £10. I thought, when I am ever going to be able to buy something from People Tree for £10 again?! So purchased.

Unfortunately, it is a size 16 :S but I thought I could belt it with this amazing blue belt (which I picked up the same day). I can't decide whether it looks too big on me or not? I think I like the oversized shape it holds. I haven't worn it outside the house yet, so I may need to take it on a test run!

I was also playing around with some shutter settings on my camera, so that's the reason for the soft picture of my face, ha.

Happy Monday guys!

Zigga Say Ahh

(In Office)
(Stone Ring - ASOS)
(Middle Ring - Topshop)
(Last Ring - Gift)
(Jumper - Hand Made)

Well this has been my first week in the office and it's been great. I am stupendously enjoying myself, and I'm loving just being around the most create people ever.
My first 'task', if you can call it that, was to sort out old samples and that's what the first few pictures are. Pretty cool to see how the process works! The street picture is a view from the office (note Chanel van!)

I wore this to work on Wednesday. This jumper was a Christmas present from my mum, she made it all by herself! So proud, and it is the best cardigan I own. I love the fact that no one else has this, or ever will. Also, sorry the lighting is weird, this as taken at night in my room. I took a photo of my hair because I believe this is the best it's ever looked, ever. It's pretty much a messy side bun, and these usually go very wrong for me, so I was ridiculously proud when it turned out the way it did.

Anyways, happy weekend guys! I am going to explore some vintage shops tomorrow, so hopefully I find something good!
